Trips

My travels have placed my eyes behind a viewfinder that scrutinized the Greek Islands, France, Portugal, Scandinavia, Italy, England and miles across the United States. I could spend the rest of my days painting at my back door step, but to see and paint the world makes for a charmed life. I have watched the sun set from a rooftop in Oia and sipped Provençal wine in the shadow of an ancient église. I have seen intense hues of nasturtiums at Giverney, purple shadows of sage in New Mexico, storks’ nests in Portugal, and the pungent freshly plowed fields of Tuscany and Umbria. All these things are illuminated by the same sun that rises behind the boxy silhouettes of Wrightsville Beach cottages.
