Still Life & Florals

Stills provide perfect means for playing with the light I find still life invaluable in teaching others to inter-relate objects and to compose a pleasing design. I began early, walking through Grandmother Bell’s garden, searching for the first daffodils. And I inherited Grandmother Scott’s love of large bouquets of flowers. I relish the extravagance of buying or growing beautiful flowers for props. Interesting objects on simple patterns in fabric become important in my still life settings.
