Book Art
Book Art has come in the later part of my career. I consume the correlations between word and image as sustenance for my soul. I began writing poetry in the early 90s, fueled by journaling on my painting trips. I have written about the symbiotic relationship between word and image and looked at how poets such as Charles Wright look at the paintings of Cezanne. I walked into an exhibition by Dan Essig at Penland School of Crafts, and was moved by the sculptural use of the book form. My books are not for sale, but I want to share some of them on this site.
